This transfer model can be used to estimate the concentration of several (banned) organochlorine pesticides in egg yolk fat of the laying hen based on oral exposure to feed contaminated with these pesticides. The pesticides included in this model are dieldrin, hexachlorobenzene (HCB), alpha-hexachlorocyclohexane (alpha-HCH), beta-hexachlorocyclohexane (beta-HCH), gamma-hexachlorocyclohexane (gamma-HCH; lindane), heptachlor and dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT). General information on how to use the transfer models on this website can be found under “How to use”. The specific manual for the persistent  pesticides – laying hen can be found here. Detailed information about the model can be found in the model documentation as well as in the literature described below. A log with the changes made after the release of version 1.0 of the model can be found here.
